For a second there I thought you asked if we had any interest in a slightly used condom.

April is the cruelest month.

The pickings are slim in the veteran free agent goalie market. Karri Ramo followed up a solid 2014-15 with the Flames with a dreadful campaign last season. 25-year-old Finn Joni Ortio played better than teammate Ramo in Calgary, but has only 35 career NHL games under his belt.

That's what looking at a stat sheet alone gets you. Ramo had a terrible start to the season and was sent down, then both Hiller and Ortio poop the bed for us, forcing us to send Ortio down and bring Ramo back up.

Ramo came back and had put up some respectable numbers before going down with a knee injury but by then it was too little too late (and his numbers to start the season were so terrible that they kind of skewed the results).

Ortio played half decent after Ramo went down showing signs that he could at least be a decent backup and he is still young enough to possibly develop into a decent goalie one day.

But as of right now Ramo is the better goalie, and if you are looking for a veteran backup he is the better choice of the two.

What's it like going from Kiprusoff to jack poop in net? The Leafs were no better lol, but we haven't had a good goalie since Belfour..

I'm a huge knights fan, and he would kill it this year again if he played junior, but what's the point?
He wins every award conceivable again?

I rather him be benched and learn the game playing with pros then sending him back and just walking over the competition like has for the last 2 years.


If he's going to learn the pro league I rather he do it first hand. We all thought that seguin playing 4th line minutes with Boston was going/hoping to hurt his development but that didn't seem to be the case.

His skill isn't going anywhere, might as well have him gaining strength and practicing against the pros then him walking around 17 and 18 year olds.
